Codie recently returned home from a trip to the Pilbara region in Western Australia. He was there as guest of 3 ABCRA campdraft committees, Newman, Tom Price and Pannowonicka Robe River to Judge the major campdrafts at these three events held over 10 days.
While he was there he was asked to conduct 2 campdraft and horsemanship clinics at Newman and Tom Price. Each clinic was full and many of the participants commented when they contested the drafts at the final weekend that they and their horses were much improved due to the assistance they received at the clinic.
A surprise for Codie was the chance to ride in the Open for Open drafts at Tom Price and Pannowonicka. Kevin Henderson kindly loaned Codie an open gelding at Tom Price to place 4th. Kevin and Codie then swapped horses at Pannowonicka and over 2 rounds Codie won the Open draft. Thank you to Kevin
Henderson for loaning these 2 great horses. Kevin was also 2nd in each of the drafts, congratulations to him also.
Finally, thank you to Phil Panomarenko for arranging the trip together with the Tom Price committee member Amanda Morgan and also hardworking committee President and Secretary Joel and Marissa for their hospitality.
